Dutch carrier KLM has revealed details of its new Airbus A321neo as it gears up to take delivery of some 30 aircraft in Q3 this year.
The A321neo will feature a new livery (pictured), with a redesigned nose dome and black outline around the cockpit windows.
The aircraft will also have wider seats, aisles, larger tray tables and luggage bins, as well as multi-coloured ‘mood lighting’ throughout the cabin that adjusts at various stages of the flight.
The carrier will begin operating its first A321neos in August, with flights to Copenhagen, Berlin and Stockholm as initial routes.
KLM CEO Marjan Rintel said: “The arrival of the A321neo marks a major upgrade of our European fleet. It is 50 per cent quieter and generates 15 per cent fewer carbon emissions than the aircraft it is replacing, making this an important step towards cleaner, quieter and more fuel-efficient aviation.”
