No frills carrier Jet2 is base another aircraft at Glasgow airport for summer 2014.
The Yorkshire-based airline will add a fifth aircraft to its Glasgow fleet which will create an extra 130,000 seats for next summer.
Jet2 has only been flying from Glasgow since summer 2011 and will add frequencies to destinations such as Palma, Alicante and Tenerife.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2, said: “Following two and a half successful years we are thrilled to be celebrating further growth at Glasgow.
“Since our first flight took off, we’ve not only increased capacity, we have also more than tripled our range of destinations from seven to 24.”
Amanda McMillan, the airport’s managing director, added: “Jet2 joined Glasgow airport at what was a difficult time for the industry but it showed tremendous commitment to, and confidence in the west of Scotland market and we now find ourselves in the position where Glasgow is its largest Scottish base.”
