Jet Airways has announced it will consolidate its two no-frills subsidiary brands – JetLite and Jet Airways Konnect – under a single JetKonnect umbrella to simplify its products within the low-cost sector.
JetKonnect will operate the various domestic routes operated by both JetLite and Jet Airways Konnect, bringing together the two all-economy carriers from March 25.
To achieve consistency, all aircraft will be painted with JetKonnect liveries over time, cabin crew will wear the same uniform as the full-service Jet Airways, a single website will be launched and the JetKonnect logo will feature alongside the Jet Airways logo on all check-in counters at airports.
Eventually, certain routes operated by JetKonnect will feature premier services, deviating away from the all-economy model, although a timeline for this process has not been announced.
Sudheer Raghavan, chief commercial officer at Jet Airways, said: “The decision was made to streamline our product portfolio and offer our guests a single superior in-flight product in the full service and low fare categories respectively.”
