Jet 2 has confirmed it is to drop flights between Manchester and Tel Aviv from November.
The airline said in a statment: "We have taken the difficult decision to stop operating our Manchester to Tel Aviv service from November 4, 2013. We are notifying passengers in advance to allow alternative travel arrangements to be made. Passengers who have already booked will be given a full refund. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
Jet 2 launched flights between the two cities in May 2009, but has had competition on the route since November 2012, when Easyjet launched a twice-weekly service.
