Travellers in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are experiencing disruption today (October 25), after the island was hit by severe flooding.
The Enterprise train service between Belfast and Dublin is operating, but with delays. Irish Rail has imposed speed restrictions due to flooding in the suburban Dublin area.
A number of flights to Dublin Airport were cancelled last night, but flights today are operating as scheduled.
Road access to the airport is limited, however. A statement on the airport’s website said: “Passengers are advised to check access roads to Dublin Airport before travelling to the airport today.
“Some access roads to Dublin Airport remain impassable as a result of heavy rainfall yesterday.”
