Lufthansa-owned Germanwings will launch flights from Manchester and Heathrow to Stuttgart in 2012.
The routes are currently being operated by Lufthansa Regional partners CityLine and Contact Air.
From February 2012, the low cost carrier will fly 21 times a week between London Heathrow and Stuttgart.
From Stuttgart, flights will leave daily at 07.20, 12.40 and 17.10, arriving into Heathrow at 08.05, 13.35 and 17.55 respectively.
To STR, flights will leave LHR at 08.40, 14.05, 18.45, arriving at 11.15, 16.40 and 21.20 respectively. On Sundays, however, the final flight of the day will leave ten minutes early, at 18.35.
July 2012 will then see the start of five-times weekly flights between Stuttgart and Manchester.
On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, flights will leave Stuttgart at 17.30, arriving into Manchester at 18.20. On Sunday, the flight will leave STR at 14.15 and arrive into MAN at 15.05.
From Manchester, flights will leave on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 18.50, and at 15.40 on Sunday, arriving into Stuttgart at 21.35 and 18.25 respectively.
The expansion means that as of next summer Germanwings, which is part of the Lufthansa Group, will serve all of Lufthansa’s European destinations from Stuttgart.
The no frills airline already serves London Stansted, Manchester, Edinburgh and Dublin.
