The GdF trade union, which represents air traffic controllers in Germany, has cancelled its planned strike today (August 4).
The move follows a bid to have the strike ruled illegal by the DFS air traffic authority.
According to Reuters, the court’s decision on DFS’ injunction would have come too late in the day, prompting GdF to cancel the strike to avoid too much disruption.
The union had voted on a six-hour walk-out between 6am and 12noon local time.
