Air traffic controllers in Germany are planning to stage a six-hour walk-out tomorrow.
The strike is due to start at 6am tomorrow morning, local time, and end at 12 noon, according to a statement on German national carrier Lufthansa’s website.
“We will observe the further development and will make preparations for our customers if necessary,” said the airline.
“The timing of some inbound flights to Frankfurt, Munich and Dusseldorf will be rescheduled.
“Passengers who have booked a flight from or to Germany tomorrow are requested to check the departures times of their flights prior to departure.”
Organised by the GdF union, which represents air traffic controllers in Germany, the strike is in protest against what it calls “insufficient” wage increases for its members.
The walk-out was originally planned for last Friday (August 5), but was cancelled after the DFS air traffic authority filed an injunction against the planned industrial action.
If the strike does take place, it is likely to affect flights over Germany as well as those arriving and departing from airports in the country.
