Saudi Arabian carrier Flynas is to begin flights between Gatwick and Riyadh from later this month.
Flynas will operate on the route to the Saudi capital twice weekly from July 27 and builds on the airline’s existing routes from Gatwick to Jeddah and Manchester to Jeddah, which were both launched in April 2014.
Wael Al Sarhan, Flynas’ director of marketing and communications, said: “Our focus is on offering our guests competitively priced and convenient flight options.
“The Flynas routes between Gatwick and Manchester to Jeddah have worked very well since the April launch. European destinations, such as London, are the summer holiday destination of choice for Saudi travellers and we anticipate that the new Riyadh route will be equally successful.”
The airline will use Airbus A330 aircraft on the route including a 12-seat business cabin.
