Flybe has signed a full interline agreement with Middle Eastern carrier Emirates.
The deal means passengers travelling with the low-cost carrier to connect to an Emirates flight out of Newcastle, Glasgow, Manchester or Heathrow can check through baggage to their final destination on departure from their regional airport.
Flybe already has similar partnerships with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic and Etihad.
Meanwhile, the Exeter-based carrier has reported that its new service between Edinburgh and Manston in Kent has made a strong start.
Passenger loads on 78-seat jets were running at more than 50%, according to Flybe boss Mike Rutter.
The route is thought to be popular with Ministry of Defence staff, soldiers and travellers visiting friends and family.
