Emirates today announced its next phase of expansion, with Adelaide, Lyon and Warsaw among its new routes.
Four weekly flights will start to Adelaide, its fifth Australian destination, on November 1, rising to daily from February 1, while Perth will go triple daily from March 1 next year. The new flights will strengthen Emirates' position on the UK-Australia kangaroo route.
The carrier will also introduce daily A380 services to Melbourne in October, complementing double-decker flights into Sydney.
In Europe, five weekly flights to Lyon will start December 5, which will be followed by daily services to Warsaw from February 6. Emirates will be the first Gulf airline to serve both cities, and the Lyon route continues the carrier's policy of tapping traffic from secondary gateways.
