Easyjet is to begin flights from Gatwick to Paris Charles de Gaulle from March 2014.
The move is part of the airline’s continuing attempts to grow its business travel sales by targeting major corporate air routes.
Easyjet will begin operating two daily flights from Gatwick to Paris CDG from March 30. The airline currently operates services from Luton to Paris CDG.
Flights from Gatwick will leave at 14.45 and 20.20 with services from Paris departing at 07.10 and 17.45.
Easyjet announced the route as one of 10 new services from the UK for the summer 2014 season from Gatwick, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and Belfast. These routes also include Gatwick to Newcastle and Jersey, plus Belfast International to Bordeaux and Jersey, and Glasgow International to Split.
Cath Lynn, Easyjet’s group commercial director, said: “The new additions to the 2014 schedule will provide 36.6 million seats network wide on a greater choice of destinations spanning the UK, Europe and beyond.
“From Gatwick we have increased our already comprehensive range of destinations making even more business sense for corporate travellers to choose easyJet.”
Easyjet, which is Gatwick’s biggest operator, is continuing to expand at the airport following the purchase of 25 slots from Flybe for £20 million.
