Easyjet wants to make further inroads into the corporate market with the launch of a new “inclusive fare”, which will not be available directly from its website.
The new fare is designed for corporate passengers and travel bookers, and will only be accessible through the GDSs and other booking systems connected directly to Easyjet through an API link.
The new fare will include a 20-kilogramme hold bag and seat selection, with Easyjet insisting the overall price will be cheaper than booking the different elements separately.
Ruth Spratt, head of UK Sales for Easyjet, said: “We are really pleased to be able to offer an inclusive fare for the first time - part of our campaign to make ourselves easier to book and attractive to large corporates.
“It will help us to compete even more effectively with the legacy carriers as well as providing further choice and value for the 10 million-plus corporate travellers who choose to fly Easyjet every year.”
Easyjet has been targeting business travellers for several years and has stepped up its efforts in the last 12 months by signing a series of deals with TMCs and corporates around the UK and Europe.
“We are confident the launch of the inclusive fare will further strengthen our appeal to large corporates,” added Spratt.
The new fare will sit between Easyjet’s existing standard fares and its Flexi Fares, which includes extra elements such as Speedy Boarding, fast-track security access through airports and date changes within a four-week window.
