British Airways has announced a new direct service from London City to Dublin airport from October.
At the start of the winter schedule (October 26) BA will operate the service to Dublin five-times daily using a mix of Embraer 170 and 190 jets from its new fleet of 17 aircraft.
It will also increase frequency from London City to Scotland, with two new flights to Glasgow and an extra daily service to Edinburgh. This will bring the total of return flights from LCY to Glasgow to eight and from LCY to Edinburgh to 11.
Including the new London City flights, BA will operate up to 27 daily services between London and Edinburgh and 21 daily flights between London and Glasgow.
Luke Hayhoe, BA's commercial general manager at London City, said: "We are very excited about flying to Dublin, it was what our customers wanted and we are delighted that we can offer such an excellent schedule giving them plenty of choice whether they are flying for business or pleasure.
"We are also able to add to our existing network to Scotland with extra flights on the popular Glasgow and Edinburgh routes, once again improving frequency and schedule."
