British Airways is to fly daily on its Heathrow to Hyderabad route from the start of the winter 2013/14 season.
The carrier currently operates services six days a week but will add a new Sunday flight from October 27. BA, which started flying on the route in December 2008, increased flights from five to six per week in October 2012.
BA will open a Boeing 777-200 on the route with three cabins including Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller.
Christopher Fordyce, BA’s regional commercial manager for South Asia, said that India was “our second-largest market outside the UK”.
“For BA, Hyderabad is truly a key market in our South Asian network,” he added. “We have witnessed tremendous growth in the market since 2008, resulting in concerted growth in the outbound business and leisure tourism.”
BA operates to five Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.
