British Midland International (Bmi) has announced plans to expand its services to France and Morocco.
The Lufthansa-owned airline will start daily flights from London Heathrow to Nice on August 25, to be upped to twice-daily from October 30.
Bmi will compete with British Airways on the Heathrow-Nice route, while Easyjet operates flights to Nice from Gatwick, Stansted and Luton.
From October 30, Bmi will start twice-weekly flights from London Heathrow to Agadir, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Bmi already operates flights to two other destinations in Morocco: Marrakech and Casablanca.
From October 1, the Star Alliance member will be increasing its flights to Marrakech from three to five per week.
