Continuing civil unrest in Syria has prompted Bmi to temporarily reduce its flight schedule between Heathrow and Damascus.
From July 8 until September 2, Bmi will reduce its services from four flights a week to three flights a week.
The new schedule will see flights operate on Monday, Friday and Sunday.
Since June 9, Bmi has been operating four flights a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) to Damascus, a route usually plied with daily flights.
A Bmi spokeswoman said the airline hoped to return to a full flight schedule in September.
“Bmi is fully committed to the Syrian market and the adjustment to the flight schedule is therefore only a temporary measure,” she said.
