BA is to expand its operations at London City Airport by 70%.
The carrier is launching a new subsidiary BA City Flyer which will run 250 flights week from the Docklands airport.
It currently operates 144 a week from the airport.
The flights will start at the end of this month and serve six UK and continental European destinations.
The two new destinations are Glasgow and Zurich and each will be served four times a day.
Services to Edinburgh will also be increased. The other destinations are Frankfurt, Madrid and Milan.
BA said the schedules to Glasgow and Zurich will enable business travellers to do a full day's business and return in the evening.
Peter Simpson, BA CityFlyer managing director designate, said: "London City Airport will be a major focus for us over the next few years.
"It is an increasingly popular base for customers, easy to use and conveniently located for the growing business districts of Docklands and the City."
