Canadian airline Air Transat is planning to resume flights to
and from Europe as part of a wider schedule restart on 23 July.
Altogether, the carrier plans to resume flights to 22
destinations in Europe, the US and Canada. It will restart services from
Toronto to Gatwick, Manchester, Glasgow, Athens, Porto and Rome, as well as
from Montreal to Athens, Bordeaux, Lisbon, Lyon, Nantes, Marseille, Paris and
Toulouse. The plans will depend on travel restrictions as of 23 July, according
to Air Transat.
Services to Amsterdam, Basel-Mulhouse, Barcelona, Brussels,
Copenhagen, Dublin, Faro, Lamezia, Madrid, Malaga, Nice, Prague, Venice and
Zagreb will remain suspended until the end of the summer season.
Air Transat has introduced a flexible booking policy that
allows passengers to make changes to their reservation with no charge up to 24
hours before departure or to cancel their trip in exchange for a travel voucher
valid for 12 months. New health and safety measures include enhanced cleaning in
the airport and on aircraft and a complementary ‘Traveller Care’ kit for
passengers containing a face covering (which they will be required to wear
throughout the flight), gloves, hand sanitiser and disinfecting wipes.
