Air France will serve the Ivory Coast city of Abidjan by an A380 during the winter season – October to March.
The airline has confirmed the 516-seat aircraft will be deployed from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport 3 times a week, with the other four days operated by a Boeing 777.
Due to come into effect from October 26, Abidjan will become the second city on the African continent to benefit from the larger aircraft after Johannesburg and the first in French-speaking Africa.
The flight will depart Paris at 1345 and arrive in Abidjan at 1910. The return journey will leave Abidjan at 2325 and arrive in Paris at 0640 the following day.
