Greek carrier Aegean Airlines is to add flights from Stansted to Athens for this summer.
The seasonal service will operate three times per week and will run from July 11 to September 16.
Aegean will be using a new Airbus A320 aircraft with 168 seats in a two-cabin configuration including business class.
Flights will leave Stansted at 17.15 on Thursdays, 22.05 on Saturdays, and 12.45 on Mondays. Return services depart Athens at 14.30 on Thursdays, 19.20 on Saturdays, and 10.00 on Mondays.
Aegean currently operates three daily flights from Heathrow to Athens as well as twice-weekly services from Manchester to the Greek capital.
