Wyndham Hotel Group has entered the Iraqi market for the first time by opening a Ramada property in the Middle Eastern country.
The newly-built Ramada Sulaymaniyah Salim Street in Kurdistan, which has 71 rooms, including 13 suites, welcomed its first guests on Monday (July 8).
Ramada Sulaymaniyah Salim Street features a 728 square metre theatre-style ballroom which can cater for up to 700 people.
The hotel also includes a spa, a 144 square metre indoor pool, Turkish bath, saunas and whirlpool.
Ramada Plaza Beirut Raouche in the capital of Lebanon has also opened this week as Wyndham boosts its presence in the region.
The 119-room hotel overlooks the Mediterranean and features a 391 square metre ballroom, pool, fitness club and restaurant on the 18th floor.

In May, Wyndham announced plans to open its first hotel in Saudi Arabia with the 56-room Days Hotel Olaya in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
