Travel management platform Roomex has added more than 172,000 self-catering properties to its online inventory.
The Dublin-based accommodation and expenses specialist said the expanded inventory provides users with “greater flexibility to match accommodation to the length and purpose of a trip”, while kitchen facilities can help businesses manage subsistence costs by reducing reliance on restaurants and room service.
The newly-added properties range from apartments and houses to “more unique and unusual stays”, including in locations where hotel availability may be limited. These properties are bookable alongside existing hotel and B&B inventory on the Roomex platform.
Roomex president Keith Watson said: “Workforce travel is rarely one-size-fits-all. A hotel may be the right choice for an overnight trip, but someone working away for several weeks may need more space, cooking facilities and a routine that feels closer to home.”
