Hotel sales and marketing group Worldhotels has added 10 new properties to its portfolio in the last three months.
The German-based company, which caters for the independent hotels, has added members in the US, Philippines, Austria and Worldhotels’ first properties in sub-Saharan Africa.
The group has added The Grand Ferdinand hotel in Vienna through its partnership with Weitzer Hotels, while four properties in western Africa belonging to the Azalai Hotels Group have also become members – two in Mali, one in Benin and one in Guinea-Bissau.
Others to join Worldhotels include the The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Hotel Phillips in Kansas City.
Robert van der Graaf, Worldhotels’ regional vice president, said: “We are particularly proud to strengthen our collaboration with existing regional partners and to add new partnerships in aspiring markets, such as the Azalai Hotels Group in sub-Saharan Africa.
“We are looking for further opportunities in other high-potential regions, including India, China and select European destinations, such as in the UK.”
Worldhotels’ existing UK properties include the Royal Garden in Kensington, London, and the Grand Harbour in Southampton.
