Hotel chain Travelodge has opened its new £11 million flagship property in Manchester.
The 157-room hotel located in the centre of the city brings Travelodge’s portfolio to 16 in Greater Manchester and 513 in total.
It is one of 15 new hotels that the brand will open this year, as part of a £100 million programme into extending the chain.
Travelodge also confirmed it’s investing £2 million into the refurbishment of 10 existing Manchester properties.
Travelodge’s CEO Peter Gowers said Manchester is a “vital hub” for business and tourism. “This new hotel, together with our ongoing refurbishment and modernisation programme, positions us well in the city as the economy continues to strengthen,” he said.
The Travelodge Manchester Piccadilly will create 31 new jobs.
