LONDON now has three new hotels, each opening within the last week or two and covering virtually all sectors of the market. The previously four-star Drury Lane Moat House hotel, in the heart of theatre land has been taken over by Travelodge and will offer business travellers on a budget no frills accommodation in Covent Garden. Prices start at just ”25 per room. For those needing to be in the Fulham-Kings Road area, Jurys Inn Chelsea has 172 rooms and is part of the 32-acre Imperial Wharf development, containing upmarket residential, commercial, retail, hotel and leisure facilities built around a 10-acre park. Opening this week with prices from ”65. And at the top end of the market Baglioni is in Hyde Park Gate, an Italian group with a new five star luxury hotel situated in the residential district of Kensington offering 66 rooms and an in-house Caroli Spa, with the most indulging body and mind treatments. Prices here start from ”300 per night.
