Starwood Hotels' Stockholm Sheraton property is ready after a six-month refurbishment programme.
Located in the heart of the capital, the hotel is a renowned landmark, with a 1970s facade and contemporary features that contrast with the medieval feel of the city.
Recent renovations have transformed the previously dark and traditional interior into a modern Scandinavian decor, designed by Alexandra Champalimaud. The hotel's 465 rooms have been refurbished with a 1940s look.
Sheraton Stockholm general manager, Dorthe Thing, said the ultimate goal of the renovations was to: ”really set the Sheraton apart from other hotels in Stockholm, both in terms of design and service.”
The staff have participated in further training, and a new facility - the StarMeeting Concierge, has been introduced consisting of a particular member of staff as a point of contact for a group of business travellers, to assist them with any meeting queries they may have.
Additional facilities include the Sheraton Club Floor, with a 61 rooms for guests travelling on business, and its Club Lounge, as well as a private reception for check-in/out services.
There is also the new Sheraton 360” restaurant and bar, and the [email protected] - a work area near the bar in the lobby area, with high-speed internet access, available 24h a day.
The hotel provides 13 meeting rooms and an exhibition area, along with a 24h conference package for groups on one-day business trips, catering for food and drinks, meeting room facilities, equipment hire and accommodation.
Sheraton is owned by Starwood Hotels, a leading hotel and leisure company, with approximately 890 properties in more than 100 countries, including: Le Meridien, St Regis, Four Points and The Luxury Collection.
