Ritz-Carlton Hotels has unveiled a new programme of “socially responsible” activities for groups and conference delegates.
The Marriott-owned luxury brand said that the new initiative would allow group guests the chance to take part in activities that will make a “positive impact” within local communities.
Ritz-Carlton’s Impact Experiences will be designed to make a “meaningful contribution and enable participants to feel personally connected to the local community” and will be available across all of the brand’s properties around the world.
The programme includes initiatives such as protecting a wetlands area near Vienna, planting native trees in Dubai, working on a public park in New York and building nests for rare species of birds in Shenzhen, China.
There will also be activities available within Ritz-Carlton’s properties that can be incorporated into conference programmes.
Herve Humler, Ritz-Carlon’s chief operations officer, said: “We are proud to make Impact Experiences available at every one of our hotels around the world to provide our guests with an option to address local social and environmental issues.
“Impact Experiences have the power through coordinated efforts and volume to be a significant force for good.”
This project is part of Ritz-Carlton’s social and environmental responsibility programme, Community Footprints.
