Rezidor is to develop a dual hotel in the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) ” a tax-free zone and hub for commodities industries - scheduled to open in 2011.
Rezidor will develop the new hotels in co-operation with DMCC Business Park.
”This double-branded hotel tower will prove to be of great value in catering to the varied interests of all our Business Park,” said Property at DMCC executive director Bryan Wilson. ”We are pleased to tie up with Rezidor which brings its special expertise to this project.”
A 32-storey complex will feature the Radisson DMCC Business Park Hotel Dubai with 150 guest rooms and a second property - still unbranded - will feature 300 rooms.
”Dubai is the economical heart of the United Arab Emirates and a very important market for us,” said Rezidor president and CEO Kurt Ritter.
The hotels will be built adjacent to the Jumeirah Lake Towers, opposite Dubai Marina and 190km (120mi) from the as-yet incomplete Al Maktoum International Airport ” planned to be the world”s largest international airport, handling 120m passengers per year when it becomes fully operational in around 2017.
