Rezidor Hotel Group is to take over management of three airport hotels in Ireland from current operators, Great Southern Airport Hotels. From 2 April, 2007 the properties at Dublin and Cork airports will be re-branded as Radisson SAS hotels, and the hotel at Shannon airport will become a Park Inn.
”The three new properties are our first airport properties in Ireland,” said Rezidor Hotel Group president and CEO Kurt Ritter. ”Airport hotels are an integral part of our portfolio ” excellently located, easy to use and with unique service concepts,” he added.
”These additional hotels ” bringing our portfolio in Ireland to 15 properties ” will build on the strength that the Radisson SAS brand already has in the country and will improve the brand awareness for Park Inn.”
Located close to the main road into Dublin International Airport and a short distance from the M50, the airport hotel offers 229 rooms, with a restaurant, lounge bar and 30 meeting rooms. The Cork hotel is a short walk from the new passenger terminal, with 81 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and nine meeting rooms. The Shannon airport property ” the only one in the airport complex ” has 115 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and five meeting rooms.
