Rezidor Hotel Group has two further Radisson brand hotels in the pipeline, in Russia and Georgia.
Radisson Hotel Chelyabinsk will be at the northeast corner of Gagarin Park in the centre of Chelyabinsk, one of Russia”s major industrial hubs. Slated for a first quarter opening in 2010, it will offer 188 rooms, meeting and fitness facilities, two restaurants, a bar and ballroom.
”Russia remains one of our most important emerging markets,” said Rezidor president and CEO Kurt Ritter. ”We see a promising potential in this region.”
The group has appointed a new vice president for business development in Russia, and opened a branch office in Moscow ” claiming it is the first international hotel company to have a full development, technical, marketing and operations office in the country.
”In the CIS we currently have our strongest [development] pipeline ever,” said Rezidor vice president and chief development office Puneet Chhatwal.
Radisson Hotel Batumi will open in Georgia during the second quarter 2010 and offer 150 rooms, meeting areas and two restaurants. Batumi is Georgia”s most important port, and a link between Europe and central Asia.
” The Radisson SAS ”Grab & Run” early breakfast service ” a buffet open daily from 5am to 7am ” now includes added healthy options such as fruit and low-cholesterol energy bars.
”In the early morning you don”t long for rich croissants, eggs or cold cuts ” but for a light energy kick and a healthy snack [which] you can also take for the journey to the airport,” said Rezidor vice president food & beverage Marko Hytonen.
”Grab & Run” is available in all 158 Radissons across EMEA.
