RESIDENCE INN, part of the Mariott International group of hotels, has announced plans to open it”s first hotel in New York City. Construction began on April 13, with the project included in the Bryant Park Tower, a 43-story building that will be situated in the vicinity of Times Square. The 357 suite hotel will part of a complex including a bar overlooking Bryant Park, 96 Studio and single bedroom apartments, and 8,500 feet of retail space at street level. Onsite valet parking will also be available. Residence Inns are designed as all-suite hotels that offer studio, one bedroom and two bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens. This latest addition brings the total number of Residence Inns to nearly 450 in North America.
