Radisson SAS has completed the second tower of its Dubai Media City hotel, adding a further 125 rooms to the property. Linked to the first tower by a bridge on the first floor, the additional tower takes the total room number to 246.
January, 2006 saw the opening of the first tower (pictured), comprising 121 rooms. It is here that most of the amenities are located, with 12 meeting rooms, a dedicated business lounge with outdoor terrace, and SENO, a spa that features five Asian-themed treatment rooms and two outdoor swimming pools.
In addition to the extra rooms, the second tower also houses the hotel”s Asian-style restaurant called Chef”s House. An extension of the grand lobby area, the restaurant features live cooking stations with Oriental grills, Indian tandoor ovens and Asian woks. Other dining and drinking facilities, including the Italian restaurant, Cerdo, and the various bars ” such as Tamanya Terrace (pictured below), Icon Bar and the Senso pool bar ” are all located in the first tower.
”Our strategic location being the only major hotel operating inside Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City, has greatly helped in shaping our business performance,” said hotel general manager Siegfried Nierhaus.
”The hotel has all the necessary services for the urban professional coming to Dubai. We look forward to establishing ourselves further as a meeting and events hotel and being the place to be seen in Media City,” he added.
