The Paris Ritz, a grand dame amongst the world's hotels, has initiated a new service designed to eliminate all the hassle involved in getting off an aircraft and eventually arriving at the hotel. As the hotel says: ”The Ritz Paris embraces the tradition of unparalleled service offered to its guests.”
Following an arrangement with the French authorities, a hostess actually greets the guest at the door of the aircraft and there is privileged transit through security and passport control. The hostess then collects the luggage and escorts the guest through customs to the driver in front of the arrivals terminal.
On the departure day, guests are driven to the airport and led to a private lounge. The hostess takes care of check-in, luggage registration and any tax free procedure. The Ritz says that its guests will be guaranteed a seat in the event of an overbooked flight.
During the stay, the hostesses will ensure the booking or modification of flight tickets and luggage monitoring. They will personally follow-up any luggage claim and will organise the delivery time and address of any delayed luggage.
The VIP welcome and departure service can be booked on the reservation day or at the concierge”s desk during the stay. The cost is Euro225 inbound and Euro325 outbound.
