Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport is due to gain a new hotel in the form of a dual-branded Courtyard and Residence Inn property being planned by Marriott.
Landowner, developer and investor Groupe ADP and ADIM Paris Ile-de-France, the development real estate subsidiary of Vinci Construction France, have signed an agreement with operator Cycas Hospitality for the property, expected to be commissioned in January 2022.
Designed by architect Manuelle Gautrand, the hotel complex will feature a 223-room Courtyard by Marriott as well as a 100-apartment Residence Inn offering long-stay suites with kitchen facilities.
While both hotels will offer their services independently, they will share certain facilities, such as the ground-floor reception areas and a dining room, as well as a sports/fitness room, a co-working space, meeting rooms and a 50-space underground car park.
Groupe ADP’s real estate director Serge Grzybowski, commented: “The implementation of this new hotel complex enhances the airport’s accommodation offer, which, buoyed by the growth in air traffic, has more than doubled in ten years from 1,480 rooms in 2008 to more than 3,181 rooms in 2018. These new aparthotels will improve the quality of services on offer to our passengers as well as customers from the adjacent districts. Finally, this project, for which we are investor, fully contributes to the value of our property in accordance with our strategy which aims to develop the airport city.”

Cycas entered the French market in 2018 when it signed an agreement to operate Hyatt's first dual-branded property in Europe.
