Oakwood, the serviced apartment provider that specialises in US, UK and Asia Pacific regions, opens its first luxury property in Japan on 30 March 2007. The company currently provides long-stay accommodation in eight other locations in the city, but this latest addition is the first in its Premier range.
Located south of the Tokyo Tower and within the Tokyo Midtown development complex ” a ten hectare (24.7 acres) site with 40% park space ” the new property features 107 apartments, all fully fitted with the latest amenities.
All units ” ranging from studio to one, two and three bedroom apartments ” are equipped with high-speed internet, plasma TV, Bose home theatre system, steam showers, private balconies, wood and marble furnishings, executive writing desks and modern steel kitchen appliances. A choice of light or dark colour schemes is also available.
Guests also have access to a state-of-the-art fitness centre that includes a jogging track, a high-tech business centre, outdoor Japanese-style gardens, a lounge and bar area and 24-hour reception and concierge services. Wi-fi access is available throughout the building.
Numerous shops and restaurants, as well as three office buildings, are included in the Midtown complex. The east side of the development is home to Hinokicho Park and its sweeping views of Old Tokyo, with nearby Midtown Garden offering wireless LAN access points allowing visitors to access emails and the internet in outdoor surroundings.
