Rezidor”s airport hotel at London Heathrow, Park Inn Heathrow has opened a new conference centre spanning 2,000sq m (6,562sq ft), capable of accommodating up to 700 delegates. Also new is the lounge bar and restaurant, Bravo!Bravo!
An additional nine meeting spaces have been added to the property, taking the hotel”s total to 43. The main new conference room is divisible by three and can house 700 when fully opened. It features floor-to-ceiling windows and there is an exterior door to the pre-function area for access outside of the hotel.
The new Blue Conference Centre compliments the existing Red Conference Centre with its ten meeting rooms ” the largest of which can house 220 in theatre style seating ” and 26 syndicate rooms. This too has its own external access point separate from the main hotel.
A movie theme runs throughout the hotel”s new restaurant concept, which features a video wall playing a classic Hollywood film for diners to watch ” albeit without any sound. A choice of a full a la carte menu or a buffet based on seven different world cuisines that rotate each day of the week is available, including menus from Asia, India, Italy, Greece, Oceans of the World, Britain and the US. The movie played in the evening will reflect the country of the food being served at the buffet.
”It is the first time that such a design-led environment has been brought out to Heathrow,” said hotel general manager, Daniel Twerenbold, adding: ”The new conference centre offers a stimulating atmosphere in which to do business, and is at the same time a place to relax and unwind.”
