Melia Hotels International has opened its first Innside property in the UK.
Innside Manchester is located in the First Street development near both the city's train stations and with easy access to the airport.
It features 208 guestrooms, including eight studio suites, the "Street on First" restaurant/bar, 300 sqm of meeting and event spaces, a fitness suite and complimentary wifi.
Gabriel Escarrer, Melia's chief executive and vice-chairman, said: "The new cultural outlook for Manchester is an ideal framework for the growth of Innside by Melia, a brand which originated in Germany and which enjoys a fantastic reputation among our customers.
"We aim to bring Innside to a number of key cities in Europe and across the world in the next few years."
Innside hotels will open in Glasgow and Birmingham in 2017.
The brand currently has properties in the pipeline in the UK, US, Germany, Chile, Venezuela, China, Indonesia, Italy and Brazil. The first Innside property in New York City will open next year.
