Marriott International has opened its first Courtyard hotel in Hong Kong under a management agreement with Tsinlien Realty Ltd.
On a harbour-front site in the Sai Ying Pan district on the Island, there is easy access to the financial districts in Central, as well as Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai. A free shuttle bus service between the Sheung Wan, Central, Admiralty and Wanchai districts runs at certain times of day.
Courtyard by Marriott offers 245 guestrooms which include glass-top work desks and high-speed internet access.
There is a business centre with two computers, boardroom, executive lounge and a 24hr fitness centre.
”I am confident that both business and leisure travellers will welcome the addition of this affordably-priced new property,” said Marriott Asia pacific region executive vice-president Geoff Garside.
In addition, the Marriott group has also added another property to its portfolio in Rome, Italy. The 162-room Hotel Central Park Rome will be rebranded the Courtyard by Marriott Rome Central Park under a new franchise agreement coming into effect later this year.
Wireless internet will be available throughout, with conference space for up to 300 delegates, and other amenities include parking and an airport shuttle service.
The hotel will remain open to guests while renovations are completed.
