Macdonald Hotels & Resorts is soon to open Manchester”s largest four-star hotel, with extensive facilities for the business traveller.
Due to open in two phases this autumn, the ”50m (”99.5m) new-build property ” located just off the A57 and adjacent to Piccadilly station ” has been specifically designed for the meetings and conference market, to include a dedicated events floor and state-of-the-art equipment.
The Piccadilly Suite is the largest conference space, accommodating 300 theatre-style, or 250 for dinner. This room can also be subdivided into two meeting rooms and offers a private bar and drop-down projection screens.
A dedicated events floor provides an additional 11 meeting rooms, with executive boardrooms, a separate delegate reception and lounges. All are fully air conditioned and equipped with LCD screen-to-laptop systems and projectors, wi-fi and blackout blinds.
Initially opening with 234 rooms and all meeting space completed and later with an additional 104 rooms, the accommodation will feature air conditioning, free high speed broadband access, a spacious desk area, i-pod docking station and en suite bathroom with separate bath and power shower.
”Manchester is a thriving conference destination and we are very excited to be opening the city”s newest and largest four-star conference hotel,” said general manager, Garin Davies.
”We know conference organisers and delegates look for a great location, a range of flexible meeting facilities to support their events and a conference service that is attentive, reliable and consistent. I firmly believe that we are developing a hotel and team that can meet these needs ” and exceed them.”
