Carlson-owned brand Park Plaza is to open a new hotel in London this September. Located on the South Bank of the river Thames near Waterloo station, the Park Plaza County Hall has easy access to both mainline and underground services. A month after the hotel opening, however, Waterloo is to lose its Eurostar operations as the high-speed train operator moves to the newly revamped St Pancras, 15 minutes north on the Northern Line.
Developed in partnership with Galliard Homes and Frogmore Property Company, the hotel is scheduled to open on time and within its ”100m ($195.6m) budget.
The property features 395 rooms with marble en-suite bathrooms with separate walk-in showers and large flat screen televisions. Most, but not all, have kitchenettes, and penthouse suites offer views of some of London”s top attractions, including Westminster Bridge, the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye.
A fully-staffed business suite will also be available, with six meeting rooms, a fitness area and a lounge bar.
