Hilton Worldwide has announced it has signed an agreement to open its largest Hampton by Hilton in central Berlin.
The 344-room Hampton by Hilton Berlin Alexanderplatz hotel will open early 2018.
The hotel is being developed under a franchise agreement with Interstar Hotel GmbH, which owns and operates a number of hotels across Germany.
It will be located less than 400 metres from Alexanderplatz square and will be the third Hilton property in Berlin, joining Waldorf Astoria Berlin, Hilton Berlin, and Hampton by Hilton Berlin City West.
Hilton senior vice-president Patrick Fitzgibbon said: "This latest hotel will add substantially to our economy presence in central Berlin, a city which attracted 28.7 million overnight stays in 2014 alone, thanks to its fundamental appeal as a business and leisure destination."
Hilton Worldwide announced yesterday it is adding its first European hotels to its Curio brand.
