InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed a management agreement with Srivikorn Group to open a new hotel in Reading under its upscale Voco brand by the end of 2019.
An existing 201-room property at Reading’s Madejski Stadium, currently operating under the Millennium brand, will be converted to Voco within four months following a transformation project. The hotel offers the potential for meetings and events with a selection of conference spaces.
The property will join three Voco hotels currently open in the UK, including Oxford Thames, St David’s Cardiff and St John’s Solihull (pictured). IHG currently has 353 hotels operating under eight brands across the UK, with a further 21 in the pipeline.
