Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced a franchise agreement to open its third property in Stuttgart in 2016.
Holiday Inn Express Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof will be located within walking distance of the city’s main rail station, and will feature 140 rooms, a breakfast room, bar and conference room.
The new-build hotel will join the Holiday Inn Stuttgart and Holiday Inn Express Stuttgart Airport as IHG’s third property in the southwest German city.
The new build hotel will operate under a franchise agreement with existing owner partner Foremost Hospitality HIEX GmbH.
IHG said multi-development agreements like this deal proving to be a key factor in the hotel groups’ “accelerating growth” on Germany, with seven agreements now in place across the country.
Martin Bowen, associate VP of development, Germany, IHG said: “Holiday Inn Express Stuttgart – Hauptbahnhof will join Holiday Inn Stuttgart and Holiday Inn Express Stuttgart Airport to become our third hotel in this key city. The MDA with Foremost is accelerating our growth together in this priority market.”
