InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the signing of the third Hotel Indigo in St Louis, Missouri.
A conversion of the Daniele Hotel in the downtown Clayton area, it is scheduled to open in early 2009 and renovations are estimated to cost $13m (”6.5m) as the company adds a fifth story and new entrance. Interiors will also be completely redone.
The 120-room hotel offers wireless high-speed internet throughout, and is close to Clayton”s central business district, which combines 7m sq ft (650 sq m) of office space with 1m sq ft of retail space.
Key businesses nearby include the world headquarters of Graybar Electric and Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
”The mix of residential neighbourhoods, offices, restaurants, and shops make this an ideal location for branded boutique property like Hotel Indigo,” said IHG senior vice president, franchise development, the Americas, Jim Anhut.
The hotel is owned by Conrad Properties Corporation and will be managed by CPC Hospitality, under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group.
