Boutique brand Hotel Indigo has opened its first property in York.
Owned by Intercontinental Hotels Group, the 101-room property is located in the Walmgate area of the city.
Facilities include a restaurant, bar, health and fitness centre and free wifi.
The boutique property is the 19th Hotel Indigo to open in Europe with 11 more in the pipeline, including a hotel in Bath that is due to open next year.
Tom Rowntree, IHG's vice president for Hotel Indigo, Europe, said: "We're enormously proud to be opening our first Hotel Indigo property in York. Hotel Indigo provides a refreshingly local experience for guests through stylish design, locations in unique and culturally-rich neighbourhoods, topped off with intimate, personalised service."
Hotel Indigo York is operating under a franchise agreement with Sojourn Hotels.
