InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) will open its first Holiday Inn Express in Thailand in early 2011.
Holiday Inn Express Siam Bangkok will offer 300 rooms in the centre of Bangkok, close to the National Stadium Skytrain station, MBK Centre, and Siam Paragon.
The first of the brand in Southeast Asia ” and the first in the Asia Pacific region outside China and Japan ” it will be developed by Amburaya Hotels and Resorts and managed by IHG.
”Holiday Inn Express will add an entirely new travel option to the Bangkok market,” said IHG Asia Pacific chief executive Peter Gowers.
”Many smart travellers to Thailand want a stylish hotel that offers exactly what they need and none of the expensive things they don”t. Holiday Inn Express offers style and quality levels much closer to full service than budget hotels.”
Currently in China there are 11 Holiday Inn Express hotels open and 23 new more in the pipeline. IHG operates seven hotels in Thailand under the InterContinental and Holiday Inn brands.
