Hilton is offering its HHonors loyalty club members free wifi at more than 4,300 hotels globally.
The offer available to all tiers of the loyalty programme will only be available to those who book directly through any “proprietary Hilton channel” or through corporate travel agent partners, that book via a Hilton proprietary channel or GDS.
This means members that book stays through online travel agents such as Expedia or Booking.com will be excluded from the offer.
The changes mean standard wifi will now be available to Blue and Silver members from August with Diamond members receiving free premium wifi from April, where available.
There will be no change for Gold members who already receive this benefit.
In a statement Hilton said: "Over the last year, we’ve listened, learned and evolved the HHonors program with benefits that matter most to our members.
“With these updates to the HHonors program, we’re rewarding more business travellers than ever before by offering complimentary Wi-Fi to members of all levels who book directly through any proprietary Hilton channel or through our corporate travel agent partners, that book via a Hilton proprietary channel or a GDS,” Hilton said.
