Hilton Worldwide has opened its first Doubletree by Hilton in Edinburgh city centre and fourth in Scotland.
The property, formerly The Point Hotel, has been transformed following a £4.2 million renovation.
The 138-room hotel is located in Edinburgh’s old town close to the Royal Mile and Princes Street. It has a domed roof, a brasserie-style restaurant and a top floor penthouse.
On the first Thursday of every month, the hotel will transforms its penthouse venue into a Skybar, offering guests and locals panoramic views of the city.
The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness centre, free wifi, three meeting rooms and a 24-hour business centre.
John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said: “We look forward to introducing DoubleTree by Hilton’s CARE service culture, built around the idea of creating a rewarding experience for guests, team members and the community, to travellers and residents of this great cultural capital starting with the warm chocolate chip cookie presented to each guest upon arrival.”
Doubletree by Hilton has three further Scottish properties — in Dunblane, Aberdeen and Dundee —and 21 across the UK.
