Hampton by Hilton has opened a new hotel in London Waterloo.
It is the brand’s first hotel in central London and follows the recent launch of Hampton by Hilton Gatwick Airport North Terminal, joining Hilton Worldwide’s global brand of more than 1,900 mid-priced hotels.
The Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo has 297 rooms and is the largest outside of the U.S.
The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi, breakfast and an on-site fitness centre.
Simon Vincent, president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton Worldwide, said, “London has recently been announced as the world’s most popular tourist destination having seen a 20% increase in foreign visitors in 2013, now reaching almost 4.9 million.
“The opening of the hotel comes at an opportune time, introducing our value brand to the increasing number of tourists and demonstrating the growth of our portfolio which includes three brands in this thriving international city.”
Faycal Bennani, general manager at Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo, said, “It offers guests affordable accommodation without compromising on location.
“With its extensive transport links and proximity to some of the capital’s most famous landmarks and attractions, it’s an ideal base for both business and leisure travellers coming to London.”
